Welcome to the Spirit of Golf Foundation!
The Spirit of Golf is the leading support organization for “real” golf instruction in middle and high schools curriculums.
Utilizing new technology and state of the art instruction, the Spirit of Golf Foundation now makes it possible for all students to be introduced to the golf experience in a real and professional manner at their school or youth organization, instructed by the facility’s normal staff or Physical Education teachers.
In this way, thousand of young people are positively impacted through learning not only a great “life sport” but also through character development, integrity and the basic respect for others that the game of golf provides.
The Spirit of Golf Foundation has created two separate programs for the betterment of the game of golf.
The Spirit of Golf “In School Program”
Students enjoy a multi-media, station based instruction that allows them hit “real” golf balls, either indoors or out, and provides a digital feedback on performance. Stations include swing mechanics, hitting within designated hitting bays, putting as well as golf knowledge videos showing rules, etiquette, the games great players, memorable moments and just plain funny bloopers all in an entertaining, yet informative manner.

The Spirit of Golf Coaches Certification Program
The Coaches Certification Program was created to serve as a valuable resource to make a coach, physical education teacher or youth counselor's job easier and more productive. In an era that now demands more from the people who watch-over our children, we have indeed created a method to “raise the bar” for those same people. The real winners in this program are the thousands of boys and girls positively affected via their first exposure to the game of golf through an SGF Certified Coach. Our motto, “Coaching and Mentoring Junior Golfers", specifically pertains to developing a child's character, integrity, honesty, and respect for others by promoting the intrinsic values found in this great game.
